I would like to first post a picture of me in my outfit earlier today--just because I am so absolutely in love with it and the fact that I just bought the top at some Ukay Ukay store haha
Picture was taken in one of the dressing rooms at Forever 21 lol
MOVING ON...
Today we finally pushed through our 5th-month-together date. Yes! We decided to go to SM Megamall since it's so easy to go home from there (thank you shuttles!), plus there are lots of shops to go to and window-shop at. Plus, the cinemas there are not that bad and we (and that actually means me) really want to watch The Amazing Spider-Man already since they said it's a pretty amazing film. So based on the reviews and reactions that I have read from several people, I had quite high expectations on the film.
The film was a huge disappointment, though. It was not at all as amazing as everyone said it was, although I'd have to say that Andrew Garfield looks definitely fine in the movie. And there are parts when I laughed and got teary-eyed. So I suppose you could say that the movie was good--just not as amazing as a lot of people set it out to be.
BUT.. before we were able to watch the movie and before I actually felt disappointed for expecting too much of the film, we encountered one of SM's shortcomings when it comes to customer service. Their ticketing system crashed, hence the long line in the ticket booth. After all the waiting and the standing, they still failed to fix the system so they went all old school on us and gave us a cash invoice that serves as the ticket for the cinema and stamped us with that (photo above), so I was like why the hell did they not think of that earlier! Boo, SM! What's the use of being so rich when you can't even get a decent back-up for your system. BOO!
Anyway, while waiting in line, the trailer of the new Disney Pixar film, Brave, played on one of the TVs in there. I realized that I actually look a bit like Princess Merida, and it's only because we both have this curly, sort-of-messy-all-over-the-place hair. I found it interesting so I was like, "I'm a Disney Princess" with a squeaky, gayish, child-like voice. Lol
I don't know if I actually look like her or if I'm just imagining things. Lol but I think I do a little bit because of the hair and if I decide to get my hair dyed red haha
Soooo... after watching the movie, we strolled around for a bit. We went to Forever 21 to just look around, but when I saw that they're on sale, I just could not help myself anymore. Plus I really need (more like want but whatever haha) a new pair of pants so I looked for a pair that's not too pricy but is pretty good. And thank god I found one! And it only costs 555php. For a Forever 21 brand, that's cheap already so I really grabbed the chance and purchased it before they run out of stocks and bring the price back to its regular one.
The pair of pants ends my shopping for at least this month. Since I have already bought myself a pair of shoes, bag and a few clothes, I am now a satisfied human being (until the next month or so when I start craving for some more new things to wear huhu lol). Yey!
We did some more strolling around the mall, then we stumbled upon this wall in some part of SM (I think it's near KFC and Yellow Cab). Next to it is a kiosk that sells DVDs/VCDs/CDs of various Dolphy shows and probably some songs of him too, I'm really not sure though cause I didn't check. And there's a TV that's playing some episodes of one of his highest rated TV shows--John en Marsha. I actually wanted to stay there and grab a chair that I could sit on and watch the show, but I can't cause it's getting late and we had to go home :(
I actually wanted to write a message, but unfortunately, I did not have a pen with me so it was a blaaaaah. But the amount of messages that was written there was extremely overwhelming that I actually felt a tad bit teary-eyed. It just goes to show how much of an influence and inspiration Dolphy truly has been to a lot of Filipinos. And unlike any other actors that passed away before him, I think he's the only one that a majority of Filipinos won't easily forget. His contribution to the industry and to the lives of millions of Filipinos is just unforgettable.
I am thinking too much about Dolphy again. Sometimes I feel like he's my Dad when really he's not (obviously). So let's move on....
We ended the day by staying for a little while at Krispy Kreme's, ordered A&W and the ever-so-popular Original Glaze. Then we went home and lived happily ever after lol
