She knew something was up. She could feel it from every part of her weak body. As she was lying there on her bed, there was a knock at the door. It was Michael.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey. You bought me roses! How sweet of you, Michael! Since when were you here?"
"We arrived last Tuesday. Hey, I missed you so much. So, how's my dearest best friend doing?"
"I'm fine. Kinda weak, but fine," she smiled.
"What are you sick of anyway?" Michael asked.
Inside her head, she wanted to scream out: "I'm sick of not seeing you! I'm sick of JUST being your best friend! I'm sick of not telling you that.."
"What are you sick of, Mara?" he again asked.
"The fact that I love you.." the unsaid phrase just kept playing in her mind. If she told him right now, she would risk seven long years of friendship. But she needed to tell him, before it's too late.
"Mara.."
She suddenly snapped out of her thoughts. Though she was still wondering if she could ever tell him that.
"Michael, I need to tell you something."
"What is it, Mara?"
"Michael.. I.. I.." her voice trailed off. Her world started to darken. She could not see. All she could hear were the cries of Michael calling her name.
"Mara.. Mara.. Mara.."
Coldness spread like poison throughout her body. It was like she was submerged into a barrel of ice. And then, at that moment, she died. And still nobody knows how she truly feels, not even Michael.
Sorry for the ending. I'm just not fond of the fairy tale ending bullshit. Lol.

Even if she told him, its not going to be a happy ending because she died anyway.
uh i mean, if he knew that she loved him, whether he loved her back or not, it ill only make him feel more horrible.
at least he was somewhat ...uh...spared?
of the "extra" hurt/regret/misery.
XD i dont now if im making any sense.
