This election is my first time to vote since I just turned 18 last year. It's a good thing my Mom forced me to register last September. Cause if it was up to me, I wouldn't register at all. I don't know where, I don't know how, plus I'm too lazy to go around the city trying to figure out how to become a registered citizen of this country.
But like I said, opinions are meant to be respected. And I'm just hoping for some progress and good changes in this country. And by that I mean, PLEASE MAKE MARCOS ALIVE AGAIN. THIS COUNTRY NEEDS HIM. Oh yeah, in exchange for Marcos, please take Imelda and take GMA too as a bonus.
Anyway, I read my friends' group messages and blog posts saying that they waited hours in line just to vote. So I was kinda dreading the fact that it might happen to me too. So typical me, I went to the place 1 hour before the voting ends (which is at 7 pm). Since I've been doing that thing quite often (the last minute thing), I know that there would be two possibilities to the situation. 1, the place would be packed and 2, there would be less people. And yes, it was number 2 (lucky me pancit canton). I went to the public school here in our baranggay, which is a walking distance away from where I live, and looked for my voting room.
When I got there, there were some problems. But the moment it was worked out, I got to vote immediately. For a moment there, I went completely blank. Especially when I got to the part of the senators and the party lists and those other stuff. I only thought about who to vote for in the position of President, Vice President, and city Mayor. So my mind completely shut down on the other parts. So on the senators, I just voted for those people I'm familiar with, and for the party lists, I was choosing between Bayani and Bayan Muna. I was actually looking for that Ladlad Partylist, but I guess it had a different name on the ballot. And I saw this LPGMA Partylist. At first I thought, "Oh you've got to be kidding me. GMA again?!" And then when I was walking back home, I saw this poster on the wall and it said, "LPG-MA" So yeah, fail. I was wrong. It wasn't related to GMA after all.
The only annoying part about this election is the fact that the stupid indelible ink stained my red nail polish. Yeah, I can be shallow sometimes. But seriously. I just put this yesterday, and now it's totally ruined. Oh the sacrifice I do for my country and my fellowmen. lol
Anyway, the partial results are being aired on the news already. Noynoy Aquino being on the lead (well there's no surprise there) and Erap Estrada being second (now there's a shocker). I honestly didn't expect Erap to even be on the top 5, but look, he's number 2 on the polls. But seriously, I'd rather have him as the President of this country than that Ninoy/Cory-Aquino wanna be, Noynoy. I posted this thing on my Tumblr a while ago, and of course, I got a million violent reactions. One even said that it was blasphemy. Hello! I wasn't even talking about god. Goodness. People are so stupid and annoying nowadays. I know, she said she was just stating her opinion, but duh? Please connect the relation of me saying that Erap is better than Noynoy to blasphemy. Please enlighten me cause this does not sink in in my shallow brain.
I'd rather have Erap than Noynoy. Why? Cause Erap has at least done something for this country. Even if his term was for only 3 years. Noynoy on the other hand has been in the senate for years, and still he has done nothing (as far as I know) for this country.
Erap may be a bastard, but I think he’s already learned his lesson. And he run for the office because he really wants to and he’s willing to serve this country. And not because his mother died, or because he felt obliged to run.
Just saying. :)This was just an opinion, and I think it's best if we respect each other's point of view. And ugh, that bitch (***) pointed out that we should all be aware of where the boundaries are of being opinionated and being a self-righteous ass. Ugh, can you please check yourself in the mirror first? I think you're the self-righteous ass in here. You think you know it all and you think you can just make fun and be mean to anyone, just cause you believe that whatever you say is right. Whatever.
